The attractive Savoyard village of Les Gets, dates from the 14th century. It is situated on top of the pass immediately to the west of Morzine in the Haute Savoie in France. Les Gets has preserved its genuine village atmosphere, by keeping its traditional stone and wooden architecture. Part of the fabulous international skiing of Les Portes du Soleil it has a high quality varied ski area suitable for all skiers. and a wide range of all year round activities - walking, mountain biking, lake activities etc. It is an excellent family resort, with easy and quick access to Geneva Airport (one hour).
Unlike other well-known resorts, there are no major tour operators working from Les Gets and this gives self-catering chalets an added attraction. It is a compact village with a good assortment of restaurants, shops and bars, a couple of nightclubs, two cinemas, a weekly market, a crèche and kindergarten. The surrounding scenery is spectacular with distant views of the Mont Blanc massif to the south and of the Les Dents du Midi to the east in Switzerland.
